Confronting Prejudice and Indifference

“Confronting Prejudice and Indifference” is the high school track of the International Book Sharing Project. Participants learn about the human experience of the Holocaust through the study of personal memoirs and other literary works. By promoting the discussion of moral dilemmas raised in the readings, the International Book Sharing Project encourages students to confront moral questions and to share their ideas. Teenagers from different countries reflect together on the meaning of the Holocaust. They examine their attitudes towards this unique event, and explore ways to apply the lessons learned to their own lives. They develop mutual trust and respect for others as they work in an atmosphere of creativity and cooperation.
