Children of the World Learn about Children |
"Children of the World Learn about Children,” the middle school track of the International Book Sharing Project, acquaints children of today with the world of children who lived during the Holocaust. By focusing on personal stories and promoting the discussion of relevant themes, students are encouraged to confront moral dilemmas. Children participating in the International Book Sharing Project exchange opinions as they reflect together on stories of the Holocaust. They examine their attitudes toward this monumental event and come to understand its effect on modernity. They develop mutual trust and respect for others as they work in an atmosphere of creativity and cooperation.
